Editorial standards and corrections
What we will and will not publish, who is accountable for it, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
What are these standards?
They are the rules this site is written under: publish nothing we cannot verify, invent no customers or results, promise no rankings or AI citations, keep structured data matched to visible content, have a person review every page, and correct mistakes promptly with the date updated.
This page exists because a business asking others to trust its information should say plainly how that information is produced. It also gives anyone assessing this site, human or machine, something concrete to check us against.
The standards
- Facts we cannot verify are left out
- If a claim cannot be checked against something real, it does not get published. That includes statistics, market figures, and industry percentages, which is why you will not find any quoted here without a linked source.
- No invented customers, results, or reviews
- We publish no testimonial, case study, client name, or outcome figure that is not real and permitted. Where the slot for one exists on this site and is empty, it is empty because we have nothing verified to put in it.
- No guarantees of rankings, traffic, or AI citations
- Search engines and AI systems make their own decisions. We describe the work we do and report what measurably changed against a baseline. We do not promise a position, a visit count, or a mention.
- Structured data matches what you can see
- Schema.org markup on this site describes only content visible on the page carrying it. We do not publish markup for facts a visitor cannot read, and we do not mark up ratings or reviews we do not have.
- AI-assisted drafts are reviewed by a person
- Some drafting here is AI-assisted. Nothing reaches a published page without a person reading it, checking the claims, and taking responsibility for it. There is no automatic publishing path in this application.
- Pages say when they were last reviewed
- A review date on a page means a person actually looked at it on that date. We move the date when the review happens, not when we want the page to look fresh.
- Uncertainty is stated rather than smoothed over
- Where the honest answer is "it depends", "nobody knows", or "the published sources disagree", the page says so. A confident answer to an uncertain question is the most expensive kind of wrong.
Correction policy
Mistakes get made. What matters is what happens next.
-
Tell us
Email hello@seoranking.us with the page address and what is wrong. A sentence is enough; you do not need to prove it first.
-
We check it
Against the primary source where one exists. If we cannot establish the correct answer, we remove the claim rather than leave a disputed one standing.
-
We correct it and re-date the page
The page is fixed and its last-reviewed date moves to the day the review actually happened.
-
Material corrections are noted
Where the error would have changed a reader's decision, we say what changed rather than editing silently.
Who is accountable
James Henderson
Reviews and approves published content, SeoRanking.us
Enquiries, corrections, and disagreements all reach the same person. There is no editorial desk between you and whoever is responsible for the page.
Questions about how we publish
Who writes and reviews the content on this site?
James Henderson reviews and takes responsibility for the content published on SeoRanking.us. Where a page carries a review date, that date reflects a review by a person, not an automated check.
Is any of this content AI-generated?
Some drafting is AI-assisted. Every draft is read, fact-checked, and approved by a person before publication, and the application has no path that publishes AI output automatically. Responsibility for what appears sits with a named human either way.
How do I report something inaccurate?
Email hello@seoranking.us with the page address and what is wrong. We check it, correct it if you are right, and update the page's review date. If the error was material we note what changed rather than quietly editing it.
Do you accept paid placements or sponsored content?
Sponsors are listed in a clearly labelled sponsors section and are identified as such. No sponsor pays for a mention inside educational content, and no recommendation on this site is sold.
